Figures in peaceful retreat from the ever quickening pace of everyday life, from the street hassle and overbearing intensity of modern existence, from the loud and the brash.

The original paintings are modest in scale and use subdued, atmospheric tones to further enhance the feeling of peaceful solitude or companionable silence.
