'Wildflowers'

Paintings, drawings and limited edition giclée prints by David Lyon

These drawings, paintings and prints are from a series called “Wildflowers”. They were developed over a period of time in response to a desire to create images that were uplifting and decorative, that spoke of a life enhancing celebration of the natural world, but possibly a world that is overlooked or that we find commonplace.

The exhibition is hanging within the light filled main corridor of the hospital. The organic shapes and forms of the Wildflower series, drawn and painted to create intensely colourful images that have areas of detail contrasted with open areas of pure colour and texture, aim to stimulate patients, staff and visitors alike in a life enhancing celebration of the natural world.

One piece from the “Wildflowers” series will be donated to York NHS hospital and a donation from any sale will go back to the hospital.

All original pieces displayed are available to purchase by contacting the artist David Lyon or from this website.

They are also available as limited edition giclée prints (edition of 100), numbered, titled and signed by the artist on the front, printed on Hahnemühle photo rag paper 308gsm, 100% cotton acid-free and approved by Fine Art Trade Guild. 

A range of greeting cards and 2016 calendar are also available.

Sizes of the work will vary from larger acrylic on board pieces to smaller limited edition giclée prints.

Directions & parking: There is a multi-storey car park on site. Simply go through the main entrance, keep straight ahead, pass reception to your  left (picking up a "Walk of Art" leaflet) and turn left at the corridor. My work is displayed here within the main gallery space (E, areas 3 to 4).
